Without Make-Up

Sarah, when I read this...I thought of you. : )

Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot, who calls you back when you hang up on him, who will lie under the stars and listen to your heartbeat, or will stay awake just to watch you sleep... wait for the boy who kisses your forehead, who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats, who holds your hand in front of his friends, who thinks you' re just as pretty without makeup on. One who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares and how lucky he is to have YOU... The one who turns to his friends and says, thats her... - Anonymous

Mi Corazon

Cait, Linds, and Josh are watching Once Upon a Time in Mexico...and I'm "doing" homework...

!But I am 50% through what I need to do. :)

The day went by pretty swiftly...and now it's slowing down. Which is pretty nice...but I'm getting sick. Not flu-ey sick. But asthmaticstupidbarometricpressurechanges sick. :(

Buuuuttttttttt. Worship went VERY well. At least for me. :) There comes a time during worship when you're just so completely surrounded by the Holy Spirit. And you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God is moving in your life. And tears just spring forth. Which...when you're leading worship and start choking up...isn't always the best. But when the Spirit moves...it all works out. :)

MCC Memories

As I enter my fouth (and final) semester at MCC, I’ve noticed a few things about college students. One being our tendency to try and fool our stomachs into thinking we’ve eaten by drinking a TON of water(or soda, or vitamin water, whatever). However, this doesn’t help our cause at ALL, because we constantly need to use the loo in between classes. Which depending if you want a sanitary stall…could result in you being late for class. Legit. I truly only “trust” one bathroom in this school…and even then it’s hit or miss. haha.

Now there’s another thing about college life. Maybe it’s only a problem at MCC, but I’m thinking it has to be a problem at other colleges as well. What is this problem you ask? Well it’s simple, the girl’s bathrooms are DISGUSTING! I really want to know how you can leave a stall like that. Honestly. A human body should NOT require THAT much toilet paper. And if for some reason you do…go see a doctor. People always say that guys are pigs…I think to a certain degree the same can be said of girls. Only grosser (if that’s possible….).

On the topic of gross…making out in the hall? Not something I want to see. Like honestly? We aren’t in high school anymore (thankfully I was never witness to any of that…).

And peeves? When people don’t respect the fact that someone else is performing or giving a presentation. I know you love to play your guitar…but seriously STOP PLAYING! Even if you aren’t “plugged in,” if we can still hear you strumming your strings….AAAAHHHHHH!!!!

I had thought of something else…then I was eavesdropping on someone’s conversation and lost it. lol.

And yes, I fully realize that I have a lot of fragmented sentences. And considering I’m so nit-picky about people’s use of the English language…should not happen. But I honestly don’t care right now. :-P

I’m currently listening to “upright bass 101.” haha. I love these guys.

Another thing. Why press the handicap button and waste electricity when you are perfectly able to do it yourself?

Oh and let’s not forget smoking! No smoking means NO smoking. I want to kick everyone that breaks that rule.

The Pink Planner

So I'm sure you are wondering why yours truly voluntarily bought a PINK planner. I originally was going to buy a blue one. But then I couldn't find one that didn't have gross junk on it. So I was like, how about the purple one? But then the more I looked at it, I thought it was kind of a pukey color. So then I looked for a totally different one. And I actually found some I liked. But they all were missing stuff. (what can you expect....it was Ocean State Big Lots).

So I had to buy the pink one.

There you go. : )

Let Your Beat Go On

So I woke up this morning sorer (is that a word?) than yesterday...but still not to the extent that I was figuring on. Honestly, the car hit my door, and all I am is a little stiff. Whoot for God, right? Seriously, that could have turned out much much worse than it did.

But I need to get ready for work. Bye Sarah. and Cait. My faithful blog readers. :-P

Abbraccio = Embrace a.k.a. hug

I find it interesting that CT has such a bad rep compared to other states. We have bad drivers (clearly seen by yesterday's episode), we're rude. And there's nothing to do on the weekends if you don't drink, smoke, etc.

So I've decided to change that for my circle of influence. My drivings okay, so there's not much I can do about that...but I have decided to refrain from using my horn unless absolutely neccesary. (I never use it...so when I want to use it...I have to think about where it is...lol).

I'm working on being even more polite than normal. Small compliments can go a long way. I feel like I'm always smiling (b/c when I don't, I look mean...real story), but I'm gonna work on sharing genuine smiles with everyone. Not just the people I like.

And I'm gonna work on getting people connected. I know it's impossible for me to keep a million healthy friendships, but if I have my healthy circle of friends and I introduce an acquaintance to someone in that circle...maybe they can join my friends circle. (If that made any sense...it does in my head...lol).

But if I share that with everyone...exactly what makes my close friends special? What sets them apart? I'm a big fan of hugs. So if I consider you a close friend, I'll hug you on a regular basis.

So there's my schpeel for the day. : )

War Wagon

Bye bye War Wagon.

This morning we were T-boned on the way to church. Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt. But my van is totaled. : (

Events like this bring into sharp focus just how fragile life is. It's a reminder to not take anything for granted. We aren't promised tomorrow. So "don't let the sun go down on your anger." Remember to smile. To love. To laugh. To freely give hugs. Don't assume people know you love them. Don't assume people know you care. You know what happens when you assume...

Thinking

Hi there.

I've been itching to write stuff, but I'm too lazy/tired to hand write in my journal. (and Sarah inspired me to start my blog again).

So I've been doing alot of thinking lately. I'm not sure I'll write too much of it on here. It's mostly just reflection on what makes us who we are. What makes us happy. What makes us sad. What makes us decide to be a joyous person. What attracts us to others. What attracts other to us. (Chad said girls have spaghetti brains, so most of my thoughts are all over the place.)

Why do we call ourselves Christians is all we do it stand for worship and hear (there a difference between hearing and listening) a man speak? How can we justify claiming His name when we don't put any effort into His body, His works? Why is there that barrier that stops us from just letting loose? Why do we think a person is "out there" or "missing a few links" for expressing love to their Creator? Why do we automatically assume something that is different is something bad or untouchable? Why do we form cliches when "opposites attract?"

Why is it that we let others pull us down versus pulling them up? What dictates whether or not we will be "great?" Why, when we know the truth, do we fall for lies?

I'm going to bed now. PotK in the morning. But I'm still thinking....
